House of Leaves is my favorite book, it's just so unsettling I love it.

This is my second read of it. So good. Its one of those books that is uniquely attached to the original medium it was told in... in this case it was originally one of those internet altered reality games... they had to pull all those different sources together into an actual book. I think the only people who really appreciate it are people who are familiar with the language and syntax of internet culture. Which is why I think the reviews tend to be so polarized on it too.

Just got the email saying my $153.01 earnings transfer was completed to Amz Pmts....I looked, and sure enough I still have a negative balance, it's just $153.01 less than it was earlier ?

I hate today...back to coloring...

from the AMZN annual report I'm looking at in my hands (eek, printed!) Dec 31 2018 was 32 billion in cash/cash equivs and 162.5 billion in total assets so the amount they could make floating a few hundred dollars isn't material.

I think it's likely they are developing a new feature or revamping the AMZN payments website and something they tested or deployed in the background screwed up the bank transfer piece of the current site and now they have to figure out what broke it and how to fix it.

oh no doubt that turk is immaterial has no impact,
the 162 billion you mention represents total assets, however, total liabilities are 119 billion which nets 43 billion in shareholder equity.... (which is just book value). 43 billion is book value for the company.
