"some" breeders are for sure but I do research before we buy. I have to see the parents and have to see the home. If they are only in kennels and are for breeding only, nope I ain't buying shit

I bought Olive from a breeder and I love her breeder to death. I adopted an Aussie before Olive, but she ended up having severe heart problems and passing away at 8 months. I fell in love with the breed and didn't want to go through the heartache again, so I went to an an Aussie breeder in NC. She loves her pups and almost kept Olive for herself. She lives on a farm with a ton of the land and the pups and their parents all seemed incredibly happy. Adoption is great and I strongly encourage it, but my adoption experience was not a happy one. And not all breeders are bad.

Wish I had paid more attention to the time it took me. I would guess 30-40 minutes, obviously YMMV. There are breaks in the task along the way.

i feel like health in dogs from breeders is still a mixed bag though. i posted earlier that the guy that i adopted Baxter from paid $2,500 for him from a "reputable" GSD breeder. he passed away at only 6 after he got lymphoma. it's 100% YMMV.
