It doesn't seem to busy atm - so if you don't mind . I bought a new computer (refurb off of newegg). And I need an adapter (I've never had one before). I don't game, don't stream anything much - but I don't want a terrible one, either. From what I can see online - do I want one that is wifi 'n'?
Also, are the usb ones okay in a small house?

I think you're supposed to match it to whatever the router supports. Going with 'n' is probably the safest bet though, if you're not sure (unless you have a really old router.)

Edit: I should add that I'm by no means an expert. i just didn't see anyone else attempt to answer.
