Actually I think the only thing that would take the forum down for a bit in the foreseeable future (aside from the servers shitting the bed) would be if/when we update the XF version the forum is using. Like I mentioned in my fixes thread, we have a problem with a spam filter addon that prevents new users from registering, so they are having to put in extra effort to approve users. One of the best solutions is just updating to the newest version of the addon and go from there, but it's only for a newer version of XF. As time goes on we will keep running into issues where an addon isnt supported for an older version, so in the long term it will need to happen - it's just up to the staff to figure out the specifics.I *do* have the access needed to be able to modify that page now, so if something similar happens again I won't let it give that generic page. Luckily the issues we're facing as a forum currently are not going to cause anything to blow up, mainly just some QoL things that the staff should rightfully expect to have available to them.
Edit: honestly there's no static date on when this forum returns to 100%, but I am involving @aveline in pretty much every step I take in fixing things. I really want to get at least 1 other person knowledgeable about the setup, so that we as a forum are not reliant on just a single person. She's doing an excellent job, in my opinion. And for what its worth, I'm still learning how SG set this up as I go.
