I've been away a lot because my laptop basically fell apart and I am having to use external monitors only which means I can't do it except sitting at my desk and I'm a lazy fuck and don't want to sit at it for more than a few hours. Plus I started my ratelabs/yukon project job so that's already 2 hours per day (+ training) I'm spending outside of mTurk. So hi everyone!

Good choice. It's not that turking requires so much horsepower but that *browsers* do.

Yeah. my current laptop works fine with the two extra monitors, no complaints really. but the benchmark on this cpu (the new one that is) is twice as much so... should be blazin'

also got a docking station (plus the power adapter the computer didn't come with) for $20

Okie dokie, I miraculously made goal and my FIL is cooking up some really good smelling something or other downstairs, so I'm going to go watch him and wait for food to appear in front of me. It's kind of nice being here, it's like being a kid at home again with dad cooking for us!
