Could one watch Better Call Saul without having finished Breaking Bad? I can't watch BB with the kid anywhere around, which means I have almost no options to watch that show.

Oh, and is BCS as graphic as BB? (or is it the same, and another show I can't watch when the kid is around)

Talking about shows, as a huge fan of Breaking Bad I was really weary of Better Call Saul. I thought the character wouldn't work with a whole show devoted to it and that maybe there wasn't enough story to go on. But goddamn was I wrong, not only is Bob Odenkirk a joy to watch as a sleazy lawyer, Vince Gilligan shoots Albuquerque in such a lovely way it's just a pleasure to watch.

I agree with you. I put it off until is was on Netflix and then binged it in under a week. I think it's a completely different show than "Breaking Bad" and broke my heart in a whole new way.

You can, the show stands on its own, though you'll miss some of the callbacks and stories of the characters, but this more like a "prequel" to Breaking Bad. And it's not anywhere near as graphic as BB, but it's definitely for adults and has a few violent scenes.

Not with that attitude you won't, I see it as motivation to learn more personally. I look at it as "that is possible" instead of "that is impossible".

O, It's a chosen attitude and not meant to be defeatist. Being a single mom with a full time M-F job I really don't have the stamina to be a super user! Not if I want to keep a clean house and do laundry or hang out with the kid For my first 3 months of turking I focused all my free time on it and I'm kind of paying for that now trying to catch up on everything I let slide.

Yeah if he watches The Walking Dead then he can definitely handle this. It's an adult show because it has adult themes, but it's not needlessly profane or has a bunch of boobs like most HBO shows.

I understand what you are saying and I know I could make a lot more money if I dedicated myself to it. But I used to be an engineer for the government so i made pretty good money and didn't have to work all that hard for it. I have reasons for quitting that to stay home to be there whenever my son needs me or to help out in his school. I have a hard time convincing myself that I should work twice as hard to make half as much as i did before.

I admit I can feel pretty salty at times when I see the numbers other people make here. But I don't feel negative about it. It just is what is and I like not stressing myself out to make that extra cash. I have plenty of other places/things/people that stress me out enough.
