Things are looking up! Just took a nice high light loaf of bread outta the machine. There's gonna be chicken sandwiches around here for a week. And toast with cherry jam! The week is saved.
I know what you mean! Cherry jam sounds nice. Don't think I'm strange but, a bit of cherry jam on a chicken sammie may not be bad. Or even a cherry mayo. I know I'd do it with cranberry and the flavour profile seems close. :)

I had a Dane. Brute was 200 lbs. and didn't snuggle. He did jump a 7 foot wooden wall and chase the garbage collectors, including truck, off our street. An excellent companion. My mom gave him to me for my 23rd birthday--along with a 20 gauge shotgun. I didn't see the point of the gun--not with that dog beside me. People tended to gasp and run....I'm assuming it was the dog....

my sister's black lab had puppies from a great dane dad

16 puppies
2 died, but 14 made it
the babies got so big, so fast
and they were somewhat cognizant of their size - the two I kept were scared to death of getting on the bed, because they were afraid they couldn't make it

what was weird .. is that even though the mom was solid, thick and heavy.. the pups even full grown were lighter than expected

one got adopted out, and ours ended up hit by a car when he was being walked.

I learned about this group from their ending theme to Madoka Magica. They're great.
Learned about these guys and gal(the growl on that 90 pound chick is crazzzy) from Anthony Bourdain "Parts Unknown".

I'm technically not even allowed to have a dog where I live now, but my dog is quiet and clean so the landlord looks the other way. But yeah, with a puppy at home you're totally going to get attached, great danes are so effing clumsy and cute when they're small and their body is bigger than their brain.

modoka majica lol...

this past summer, my ex's friend hosted a large event for autistic kids. charity money raiser and all - she runs a 3c, which my ex showed her how to set up : pride :

my ex couldn't make it, so I picked up my daughter, and my kid's sister (was 3 at the time) and went there with them.

there were several tents there for small events, and one of them was face painting.
while getting her face painted, my kid was talking about the anime shows she likes to watch (chief among them was 'fairy tail')
and the girl painting her face says "oh, did you like Puella Magi Madoka Magica?"

so i covered my kid's ears and said she's not allowed to watch that kind of stuff
the face painter was clearly perplexed, so I said "aha... you haven't seen past episode 2... have you?"

she admitted that she hadn't, and followed up by saying she's been recommending that show to toddlers and young girls because of how girly the show seemed to be...

so I took a breath

and I said.. you should probably watch episode3, and maybe 4
