so you set that up your first day working and have gone 11 billion hits without a captcha :)
Set it at 35.. It took it upon itself to change into an interesting topic of conversation and illusions of obtaining masters.

It's taken two years to defrost? It must melt super slowly.
LOL! No. The line that drains the defrost is gunked up. It's been doing it for two years. I'm finally ready to defrost the entire thing not just the freezer.

Pray it melts hella fast and I don't lose all the stuff I just shoved into four ice chests!

ok. guess I better turk my ass off this weekend. I just threw away four bags of perishables I decided were not worth keeping.

First world problems, as my oldest son would say.

:( I used to have a second fridge that was in the garage and had just spent a ton of money filling both the fridge and freezer with stuff to stock up for a few months. Then I went out of town for a week and returned to find the power part had completely broken. All of it was spoiled and had to be thrown out. I cried so much.

Ughhhh, refrigerator problems are the worst. When we were in NOLA, we had to buy a mini-fridge cos the warranty company took its sweet time sending someone out to fucking look at/fix ours. It was ridiculous and awful.

Oh that completely sucks. I feel that. I have a second freezer (that is coming in handy now). Remember when my washing machine flooded my house a few weeks ago? We had to move the second freezer to mop up all the water. Forgot to plug it back in. The stuff on the bottom was fine, though.

(side note: That flood warped some of my original hardwood flooring. I'm pissed. No one else but me and the kid can see the warping but I see it every day. I now have a water alarm which lives next to the washer, but I just moved to next to the refrigerator, which is surrounded by towels, so if it floods my house while defrosting the alarm will go off before it hits the hardwood floor.)

Don't even get me started on warranty companies. In my job I deal with them a lot. I will never have one. They friggin suck in my experience.

sorry you have had fridge problems, too. Seriously, what did our ancestors do without one of these marvels?

The light bulb in my fridge burned out this week and for a few minutes, I freaked out and thought the whole thing had broken. Easily fixed with a new light bulb, though. Phew!

should have thought of that before I threw it all in the garbage can.

Now, I just cannot go out there and take it back out. Shudder.

Built up a healthy resistance to salmonella obviously.

Those are the best types of appliance problems.

I just had my oven light burn out. I've never had that happen to me even tho I'm kinda old. I was stymied. I mean, it gets hot in there. I can't just replace it with any old lightbulb, right?
