Oh we do. Wherever we go, we find a place to hike. We went to Hearst Castle, decided to hike Big Sur along the way. Me and the kid loooooooovvvvveeeee hiking.

I'm going backpacking and camping next weekend! @UnspunReality thinks I'm going to be eaten by a bear every time I go hiking or camping around here. Mountain lion is probably more likely.

yeah you'll be hard pressed to find bear in the local areas. San bernardino mountains you'll have a higher chance of encountering one

backpacking is my favorite type of camping. setting up in a place where you can only get to by hiking in and having less contamination by large traffics of people is the best

There's quite a few sightings where I go in the Angeles NF. Enough to need a bear canister!
