Your vet is gonna be your best source for pricing. They will handle the whole process for you if you want and you can either pick up the ashes from them or they may mail them to you. I wanna say I paid $250-350 or so for euthanasia and cremation and the urn was included in the price.

not sure you can mail ashes. one of the street kitties passed after i left and my friend caring for them had thought about mailing ashes to me. but i checked and i don't think it's legal, at least by post office. i'd rather go back to columbus and spread the ashes where the kitty grew up. that's usually where i'd spread them.
I think that may depend on state law or possibly the method used to ship. When we had the dog I had as youngster cremated they sent the ashes to us although I'm not sure of the shipping method used. That was a long time ago though so Idk.

Thanks for your input i'm gonna start calling around , vet is not an option . Cat ddin't have one here and also just died naturally if that matters in this situation .
