However, today he might be forgiven simply for being "that crazy philosopher who lives in the woods."

Uber IPO today - a company losing a ton of money is priced at $45/share for those who essentially have "Masters" and will have a market cap when sold out at that price of $82 billion!
US adds tariffs to more chinese items - Chinese stock market was up 3% in trading today, American stock market futures have a slightly lower open. Almost like both countries have shrugged off this latest salvo in the trade war.

at least it's regulated manipulation. FOMO will overrule common sense and I wonder if Uber will crash a little bit like Lyft did after Lyft went public recently when some people get common sense after th IPO hub-bub.There is market manipulation going on somewhere.
I think the growth of actual car sharing services will eventually eat into Uber. Another negative for me is the growing list of cities that are banning Uber. The company also looks like cancer on any customer or employee rating sites. Sane investors should stay far, far away.at least it's regulated manipulation. congrats to the private Uber investors who get a chance to get shares and cash out if they want. I'm waiting until things make sense to even consider buying Uber stock - might be years and who knows if they will be around then with all the competition in that industry.
