ok, outdoor seed germinators, I have a question since I never have encountered this since I start seeds indoors inside a container to keep moisture in the soil and some humidity in the air.

It's dry where I live and I planted watermelon seeds outside because I've been accidentally killing the germinated ones I've started inside. Everyday since I planted the seeds, the soil has been dry and that's probably why they aren't germinating. How do I keep moisture in the soil so the seeds have a chance of germinating?

Make a mini greenhouse on top of the seed with an upside down clear plastic container.
