If you have a huge attachment to them at least make it so no one can see them. If she left it can be really overwhelming if you continue to contact her. You need to let her come back and pushing the issue will push her away. I had an ex who I was with for a while and I cried over him for a while and did the whole "please come back" bit. As soon as I left him alone he showed up at my front door with flowers. I slammed the door in his face and have been with his younger brother for 4 years. (the guy also cheated on me with 20+ women. I found out after he dumped me.)
how long is "awhile"? the thing with this girl is just she's moving away soon. so I just feel like I don't have much time. "Time for what?" you say? I don't fucking know. I just want to be seen in a good light in her eyes. and I know I'm probably not doing a great job rn. I was great in the relationship though, eh

Hey(---). I just wanted to apologize for how I was on Saturday in person and the texts. I let the moment get the best of me. I've only sent 1 text since Sunday and I regret that one as well. You had every right for your decision. I care for you a lot, and I rather be a friend than nothing at all whenever the time is right. Since neither side in the relationship did anything wrong. Just a victim of bad timing. Life will play out as it will play out.
I hope you guys are staying dry over there. It's been crazy today ☔

someone kill me
Peachy are you sure you want to share all this stuff with the rest of us? When a girlfriend of mine broke up with me I think I watched all the seasons of The Sopranos in like 4 days in between crying sessions and man was it pathetic, but at least I didn't leave an online record about it except for now that I'm mentioning it.

There's nothing left to gain from this. Just leave it be Peachy. You will do better letting it go.

if you set a timer you set yourself up for disaster. You were already long distance, further distance won't make a difference. You also cannot be promised that she will come back. You need to leave the ball in her court and try and move on. Sticking around and bugging just gives her more reason to stay gone.

You can't do anything to change the way she sees you, except for easing up. And not by telling her everyday that you are going to try and not bug her, or being needy and obsessive. Sorry.

EDIT Not trying to offend. I'm sometimes honest to a fault. Sorry if I seem harsh but, your feelings may be getting inthe way of rational thinking.

re: Letting go

While trying to let go a recent betrayal by one of my closest friends (we did a lot of volunteer work over the years)... I have watched this video several times. I work on just observing myself, so I can move on. I've never been much of a Tyler Perry's Madea fan... although *this* video, is just what I needed.

Be with someone who wants to be with you and if they don't move on so the one who does can find you and your eyes are open to see that clearly.

I say that with all kindness and sincerity
This one hits close to home. I really missed out on meeting wonderful people for some time. I was so focused on making someone else a priority (when they didn't even take a moment to care/worry about me.)

Peachy @PeachyRider, I don't know what your situation is and wouldn't want you to share it online (respecting your privacy.) Time! This is what you have. It can work against you or it can be used in your favor. I see an abundant group of lovely folks of people here. Try and reach out to some of them that you feel comfortable with. You can always send me a PM too. I'm fairly new so don't know how comfortable you would be sharing that information. I want to tell you that break-ups suck. Their is no one answer fits all/one only answer. Let time be your friend. Be patient. If you want this person to see you in a good light let them. Don't force it (you might end sabotaging yourself.) As cliche as it may sound, time heals wounds. Work on yourself and be the best person you can be!

Edit: Going back and removing any quotes from Peachy I have made. Just trying to help a friend out. MODS, If I miss any, Please help!
