If anyone was wondering about that potential $100 phone interview, it's no longer going to happen. My teammate passed along this message from the requester -

Around the time when we started asking for interest in this survey, there was a restructuring at the company that manages this MTurk account, so this project fell through the cracks.

I knew it sounded to good to be true.
