According to my mom, who says this frequently to people, I looked just like a baby monkey when I was born. I was under 5 lbs so I had tons of loose, wrinkly skin and lots of excess dark hair all over my body, so I didn't even look human. She said I wasn't even cute.

So, When I was born, my body looked....like a totally different, ugly species.

(so freaking thankful that excess body hair fell off and has never come back, phew...dodged a bullet there being a female and all...)

That coulda been me, according to my mama. She even whips out pics of hairy, baby me at gatherings! Yay!

Such lovely baby stories my mom tells of me. Apparently I did not like to be held or cuddled past the time it took to feed me or change my diaper. I potty trained at 18 months because I got upset waiting for people to change me. I just wanted to be put down and left tf alone.

I was ugly, hairy, cranky, impatient, and an early adopter of technology I felt would be useful to my independence.

The husband assured me that he would be okay and that nothing bad would happen to him as had to our second son who passed away. I cried harder, he assured me again. Then I told him, I'm not scared, he's just so ugly. Horrible mom.
