is there a way to look up the last time a requester posted a specific batch?

You might try looking on TV. Try the HITs tab, where you'll find a list of HITs.....Apparently TV catches them as they post. It is limited, though, since TV isn't that old. TO may have an older list, but you'll have to sort through the reviews to find anything. These can give you an idea of when they've posted. Best I can do, being as how I actually know nothing about this.
