Bio Freeze is great. I also like the CVSHealth store brand Maximum Strength Lidocaine Pain Relief Cream (with Aloe &more of a liquid type gel) with no odor, no staining, greaseless, and much less costly than Bio Freeze.

You just need to be like my cat and learn to appreciate it at her level. If anyone sprays or applies biofreeze anywhere in the house, she will find them, and either roll in the overspray, on the ground/couch/whatever, or rub aggressively against them, to get as much of it on her as possible.
It's like crack, to her.
