Oh, sorry for the misquote! I think I'll still email him and at least find out where I went wrong on the qual.

thanks for the interest and sorry about that The main challenge I think with doing my HITs and with the qual is that there are specific types of questions I prefer over others. Check out the hall of fame / examples / instructions for more info on that front if you contact me I'd also be happy to let you try the qual again!

Nothing like a good banana bread recipe. It's like dessert from nearly nothing. And dessert that's acceptable for breakfast. Mmmm. Banana bread is good food. I like walnuts and the smallest amount of chocolate chips, cuz why not? It tastes like chunk monkey ice cream, by Ben & Jerry's.

Yay! Did you use sour cream or mascarpone or yogurt? I've only made it w/ sour cream but am curious how it turns out with the others. Making more tomorrow if I can stop being food-lazy

I used Greek yogurt. It was actually the mascarpone that intrigued me about that recipe, but the store down the street didn't have any and I didn't feel like going somewhere else. No regrets, though. It's fantastic.

I just looked, it's such a small amount, I'm guessing it's just for "zip", which is cool. Otherwise they may have substituted different amounts. Looks like a good recipe to put in a ring pan(bundt) and cook in a 3/4 full water bath(bain marie), in the oven at a pretty low setting(275ish). It would come out like a Christmas pudding, or bread pudding. Perfect for eating warm after a big winter dinner, with a bit of cream on it.
