I've been using Robinhood on my iphone for a while now to trade penny stocks. Results have been mixed. I wasn't even aware that there was a referral program. I did not get a free stock when I signed up.

This is one thing I am thankful for. I messed up on some penny stocks lately but they were ones under $1 so it wasn't too bad a loss.

I mean, it was free, I don't see how it can be bad. But in all seriousness, having done next to no research, that's probably a good hold stock. They're not going to go out of business any time soon, and their products will forever be used in some capacity.

I think other good indicators for stocks are their volatility, volume, and market cap. I read recently that stocks with 10B+ market cap are better to invest in because ones in the millions area are not stable.

edit to clarify: though I think ones around that are fine too, since XRX is at 7.23B market cap...

the Robinhood ones, but i highly advise against taking 99% of what they say as factual information or even helpful information. I use it just for shits and giggles mainly
