I'm sorry about your grandfather, but I am glad you are able to help this poor soul. What kind of asshat could abuse something so sweet?

I think she (the wife) is suffering from some form of dementia, so idk if that has anything to do with it or what. My mom went out to visit just a few weeks ago and mentioned the wife was acting strangely aggressive even towards her, and she mentioned that the wife's behavior towards the dog was really bad. I think it was always known that she didn't like the dog, but I don't think anyone knew that there was actual abuse going on. But the dog is here now, so she'll be okay.

Here is a picture of the groundhog we kept for a duration of time. I tried to crop my foot out of the picture, so its rather blurry and the ghog seems pretty large. Rest assured it was very small. P.S. it now lives under the house and has a friend. We have a camera sitting outside just to see what its up to.
